Nutritional Tips

I just thought I'd give you some of my best nutritional tips to help you on your way to greater health,

more energy and a leaner body!

There is so much information out there regarding diets, healthy eating and food in general the whole subject can be quite confusing, add to that the often conflicting, misleading and sometimes downright criminal marketing that food companies employ it's no wonder it has become such a difficult subject to grasp and use in an effective way to achieve your goals.

My approach is to try to keep it as simple as possible and as practical as I can.

Firstly try to realise the impact food has on you, there are many number of things, activities,

processes and systems in your body and it needs to be supplied with the materials needed to perform these effectively, this is where food comes in, it helps fuel the machine and everything that goes on inside it. This is where your responsibility comes in whatever you eat good or bad accept that you will either reap benefits from it or pay the price for it!

At first implementing these tips and breaking old habits will seem difficult but persevere, after a week or two the new habits will take over and you will become a lot more organised and things will become easy again only you will now have transformed your eating habits for the better.

You only have so much room in your stomach per meal, try typing in Google "Superfoods" and you'll get a stack of pages listing foods that will do wonders for your body, incorporate as many of these foods into your daily consumption and you'll have much less room for the more damaging or fattening foods.

Research the dangers of sugar in it's many forms, it is pretty bad for your body, try to keep your consumption to a minimum, this means avoiding most canned, bottled flavoured drinks as these are some of the worst offenders sugarwise.

If you see "Low fat" on the label, beware that normally means there is added sugar present, which will be stored as fat when you eat it.

When dieting do not avoid fat, fat is essential for your body to perform many processes!

Some of the best foods to avoid when trying to lose weight are things like breads, pastas and rice, even wholegrain varieties, as these foods have much the same effect as sugar on your body.
